Yeah, tire prices have been heavily reliant on oil prices. It'll be months out before we see the effect of current oil prices.

After I get this sc on I may need some new drag radials lol!

Hope they hook alright. I literally had brand new street tires put on my car before I landed a deal on that weiand blower. Maybe had half a mile on them before doing the build and now they're worthless for traction. lol

Likewise. 500 miles on a set of four. I'm eyeballing the M/T in 255/50/16. About all I can get under there, and I don't want to go 15".

I have to get new tires. The Nitto's lasted me a few years so no complaints. Those few years were not a lot of miles though. I asked around a lot and the Nitto's do not stick as good as the MT's but you can get 10k miles out of them. I would leave them on but I have a safety inspection to go to.

On the street you could always run the regular tires on the front to get some use out of them.

yeah a supercharged LS-powered trailblazer or Envoy with 4-MT-Drag radials would be pretty sic on the 60' times:wtf:

Nah, ought to do it more along the lines of a minivan. :)

I lined up with a Mitsubishi Mirage once who had drag slicks on all four. He left me behind like I had one foot nailed to a tree. I talked to him later, found out he ran 10.5 brackets with it. The turbo was the size of the motor. The 2 stages of nitrous were just to add humiliation, i guess! Lol

There is also the nitto 555 in a 16" if you wanted something a little less "racy" lol 16's are hard to shop for. :/

Many people don't know (ya'll do) this but a modern Toyota minivan is quicker than many stock muscle cars back in the day. Tires and suspensions weren't all that good either. They can be made into monsters these days, and then, but out of the factory unless you had one of the rarer special cars... it may have been quick back then but it ain't now, lol.

Lol I remember back when we were starting to modify our stock foxes, we were always trying to hide from new nissan maximas and v6 toyotas. Lol There were those turbo volvos too that would just melt us.

There's one thing they (kids in the imports) will never have... well, will probably never have. The Saturday night cruise with big rumbling V8s going round and round in parking lots, from one place to another, checking out the girls, playing rock and roll (or country, depending on where you lived). Great memories!

i'm usually surprised with amount of attention to the chevelles i've had while cruising around;)
and the many questions, thumbs up, and people trying to hoot and holler over the rumbling-whining mechanical noises:blackalien:

Yeah, I ram thru the gears in my '37 Chevy pickup (GMC 302, 230 hp, 300 ftlb) racing the Camry next to me, barely beating it. Meanwhile, the secretary in the Camry is putting on her makeup and doesn't even know she's in a race!

Toyota has a 6 second 0-60 mph minivan. 6 secs was a muscle car back in the day, 5 seconds was a really good one. And now you can buy NET 800 hp cars at a dealer, just amazing. But they don't have class and style of older cars that's for sure.

:wtf:took car out for a short drive,
noted a slight rub on the left rear tires inner edge of tread against the inner wheelwell
:arghh:alittle more extra clearance/shaping it out of the way looks to be needed:wideyed:
