Has anyone ever tried to install a 174 or a 177 roots blower in foxbody Mustang? If so was there an issue with hood clearance? Will the blower fit with a 4" cowl hood?

    check this vid..:blackalien:
basically you will need to get measurements of how much taller a blower with carb is compared to the efi/manifold height
the carb hat to air cleaner tubing/ducting looks restrictive on a none pressurized carb also,o_O
so i would use a better non-restrictive intake filter assembly:shifty:

Almost better off cutting a hole In the hood with a scoop.

you could install the blower without the hood
then stretch masking/painter tape across the opening, and then take measurements,
or just plan on picking up a fiberglass hood [new/used]:blackalien:

Sorry for the really late response - a 2 1/2" would be close, but work, on my application. A set of convertible motor mounts would also help lower the motor a touch, although I did not need them.
