i watch these guys every so often [bunch of clowns]
but this show they were building a 68chevelle
they put a 174 blower on a 454 engine, and ran it on there own airstrip/dragstrip
i will say it was a good start on a cool ride/story

 

I never heard of the show. That's something new for me to try and find.

 

Ok, just went to Discovery.com and saw a clip. Yeah, I've seen the show, but didn't know that was the name.

The Chevelle is sharp. One thing I don't get though is how they expect to not get belt slip, there's hardly any wrap on the upper blower pulley.

 

Gas Monkey Garage is the name of the shop. Fast N' Loud is the name of the show. I was flipping through channels a moment ago and saw another one of their examples of dumbassery. Richard, the owner, is supposedly some kind of expert but then he calls an Aston-Martin an Austin-Martin.

 

he is an ASS Monkey; some of the deals shown are so screwwy;
the foreign guy Hanns keeps buying these old Caddies for big money to ship back to Europe
and his head mechanic standard formula is let's slam it on air bags and add big ugly rims,
clear coat the rusty patina and its a master piece

 

It reminds me of Castro and Unique Whips. He knows enough to:

1. Sound like he knows what he is doing to people who don't know much about cars
2. Sound like a dumbass to those who do know much about cars!
