Well then I stand corrected seems like a pretty nasty set up serious Rpms my god, u ever thought about using a procharger or vortec blower cut down on some heat.

    Jason,

Hopefully the Alcohol will help with heat, and I have an orriginal Top Fuel Blower Manifold that came off of one of Mickey Thompsons Top Fuel Funny Cars from back in the day that I am really itching to use ;)

    Jason,

A little history lesson for you!

Ford only dynode the Cammer up to 7,000 RPM and it wasn't crested quite yet on Horsepower.

The factory LeMans Rods would run all day long at 7,000 RPMs, but would stretch the cap out of round and spin the bearings at 7,500 RPMs!

Connie Kalita was the first to solve the problem because he said he never had that problem with Chrysler rods, so he went to Calies and asked them if they could grind a forged Ford Crank to fit Chrysler Hemi Rod Journals and they did!

I can remember on the TV set back in the day, the announcer saying the Fords were running 10,000 RPMs out the back door! The Chryslers of the day could not do this because of poor springs back in the day and the added weight of lifters and push rods, etc.

I am personally good friends with Bill Coon who used to race a Cammer Powered early Thunderbird for Ford. He said that after they switched to Chrysler rods that he was shifting at 8,500 RPM and hitting 10,000 RPMs between shifts and out the back door naturally aspirated.

My heads flow more than was possible out of any possible port job on original heads. I will be running more cam than has ever been run on one of these before. My Billet crank is stronger than a stock forging. Titanium valves will weigh less than factory hollow stem valves. Springs are way advanced over what was available back then. SBC rod jornal is both smaller in diameter which slows bearing surface speed, but it is also wider than Hemi Journals. My Rods are better than what was available back then, and while I will be running a larger diameter slug than what was available back then, I am actually slightly destroking the engine, so those old figures should be more than obtainable :)

The alchol will definitely help and that is a cool hat/injection set up .

    Jason,

My very best friends older brother who is also one of my best friends used to have an original DZ 1969 RS Z-28 with a blown and injected 0.080 over 427 that was on the cover of Hot Rod magazine twice and on the cover of Hot Chevyies first issue ever. Prior to that car he had a 1979 Z-28 that he bought new in High School. That car had a Holly ATunnel Ramed 13.5/1 Small Block Chevy that was a 377 cubic inch with a 660 lift roller. It was over the top for way back then, but true story, his brother got us kicked out of the Hot Rod nationals for doing a burnout holding that thing at 12,000 RPM :)

    Jason,

I am a Ford guy, but first and foremost I am a car guy! ;)

That car sounded like the wrong side of impending doom! Only one car at the Hot Rod Nationals even sounded close and it was a custom big inch big block, and he asked my buddy what sized big block he had in there! That engine had the lifter valley rev kit, jomar bar, etc., the cam was gear drive which whined, it had a 4 point cage, 4.45 ring and pinion 12 bolt with a ladder bar setup, and a really big stall fully built Power Glide and that really whined with those gears :) Engine had an accu sump oil setup as well!
